"Sensory Design" is the theme of this year's Philadelphia Design District events starting on October 6 'til October 13. The purpose of the PDD is to offer visitors a fresh perspective of design and art in Philadelphia.

Over the week, galleries and showrooms will provide unexpected and interactive experiences for "Sensory Design" that explore personal sensations such as sight, sound, taste, smell and touch.
The Kick-Off for Sensory Design will take place on Saturday, October 6, with an opening night, allowing visitors to discover and experience ten unique showcases hosted by the Philadelphia Design District members. Each will offer an interpretation of the theme and feature guest designers, artists and architects. Visitors will be treated to interactive performances, stimulating exhibitions, engaging demonstrations and fascinating experiences. During the rest of the week, PDD will also host other happenings to draw the design community to Old City.
